There were already more people who disliked Alice than she could count. If Kaleb tried to get in line, he might as well head to Antarctica and wait there.
Besides, Kaleb’s bow just now really did seem genuinely heartfelt.
She waved him off. “No need to say things that won’t change anything.”
Then she checked her watch.
“The coach I arranged for you should be here any minute. Who’s going out to meet them?”

Kaleb grinned sheepishly and bolted out.
Levi was speechless.
For the first time ever, he felt like his usually serious agent was acting exactly like the little puppy he kept at home.
“Mrs. Alice, sorry about that. Kaleb …
“I get it.” Alice smiled faintly. Everyone has a few people around them who act or think a little more than normal.
Kaleb was back in the doorway the very next moment.

His face, already flushed from earlier excitement, had now turned completely red.
He walked with an awkward, mismatched rhythm, arms and legs out of sync.
He couldn’t even speak. He just stood there grinning like a complete goofball.
If they hadn’t known he was perfectly healthy, they might’ve thought he was having a stroke.
“Kaleb, are you all right?”
Since Kaleb was his agent, Levi felt genuinely embarrassed but forced himself to ask.
Kaleb tried to say something, but he was so worked up that no coherent words came out.
Then he gave up and started waving his limbs in a flurry of vague gestures.
Levi was even more exasperated.

Kaleb was speechless.
He finally managed to get his voice back. “Mr… It’s Mr…”
Levi was utterly baffled.
Whatever he was saying made absolutely no sense.
“Mr. Ryan Warren…” Kaleb swallowed hard.
“It’s Mr. Warren, that legendary actor!”
This time, Levi heard him clearly.
He froze for a second and blurted out instinctively.
“Kaleb, are you having some kind of breakdown from excitement?”
There’s no way Mr. Warren would actually show up here .
Is Kaleb out of his mind ? Mr. Warren isn’t someone you can just meet without knowing the right people.
Rumor had it that Zachary only managed to get Ryan’s support through a very powerful personal connection.
Levi didn’t even dare to imagine meeting Ryan face–to–face.
The footsteps outside were getting closer and closer, and Kaleb gave up on explaining. He simply opened the door.
Everyone instinctively turned their gaze toward the door.
An elderly man with streaks of white in his hair was walking in.
He wore a white sweater, held a book in one hand, and barely had any wrinkles on his face.
Though he was already over 60, he appeared to be around 40.
Every movement he made exuded a quiet elegance.
He seemed like an educated scholar emerging slowly from another world.
It was as if the air itself stilled with each of his steps.
The light behind him cast a soft silver glow around his entire figure, as if he were surrounded by a subtle filter of diffused light.
When he reached the doorway, he looked at the people inside the room and gave a faint smile..
“Did I interrupt anything?”
His voice was warm and easygoing, like a friendly neighbor.
Levi finally managed to snap out of it.
“M–Mr…”
It took him a moment to untangle his tongue.
“Mr. Warren, w–what brings you here?”
Ryan smiled gently. “Did I walk into the wrong place?”
Alice let out a sigh. “You’re just a little late, that’s all. Everything else is fine.
At that moment, Ryan’s composed expression instantly fell apart, replaced with a trace of playful grievance.
“Young lady, you promised me you would give me a painting if I helped you.””
He had helped Zachary last time and still hadn’t received his painting.
This was clearly not the first time he had brought this up, and Alice was fed up with it. She walked into the room next door and casually pulled out a painting, tossing it at Ryan.
“Here. You happy now?”
Ryan lit up instantly.
He completely forgot about the cultured, elegant image he’d worked so hard to build. Clutching the painting, he ran straight to the living room and carefully unfolded it.
Levi and Kaleb exchanged a glance.
They wondered what kind of artwork could get a national treasure–level acting master so worked up. After all, Ryan was renowned for his indifference to money and fame.
The two of them stepped forward cautiously and looked at the painting.
The painting was about 6‘ long and featured a sweeping landscape.
The mountains and waters in the painting complemented each other in perfect harmony.
Even the reflection in the water stood alone as a work of art in its own right.
The painter had clearly paid meticulous attention to detail.
Brightly colored birds and darting fish in the foreground, and the distant mountain ranges layered one after another–they were all tied together with masterful light and shadow. It was breathtaking.
Suddenly, a thought crossed Levi’s mind. He glanced toward the signature.
And the moment he saw it, his hand shot to his chest. He nearly had a heart attack from excitement.
Kaleb noticed his reaction and followed his line of sight.

It was Aurelia Flamehart.
She was a legendary name in the modern art world.
