Chapter 732
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” I told her. “This place looks Incredible, Nan. You’ve really outdone yourself”
“I am really proud of how it looks,” she admitted. “I’m just hoping the food tastes just as good.”
“Your cooking is incredible, Nau. Your recipes are to die for. I trust that everybody here will love it,” I assured her. “Plus, you have Chester with you, and he’s like a genius chef. You have nothing; to worry about.”
She beamed at the compliment.
She glanced over my shoulder to see Gavin, along with Irene, who waved at her, and Matt, who was busy staring at the fish in the giant center fish tank.
“Your little family is looking happy,” she said with a smile. “I’m really happy for you, Judy.”
I look over my shoulder, and my eyes fin’s. He smirks at me, making my heart skip a beat.
“I’m happy too,” 1 admit.
“Let me see your ring again,” Nan said, grabbing my hand.
I chuckled as she took in the gorgeous diamond ring that sat on my finger. It was more beautiful every time I looked at it, and it was completely and utterly Gavin. I was so happy that I could burst
“It’s so pretty,” she breathed. “Gavin has such amazing taste.”
“Yes, he does,” I agreed. “It still doesn’t feel real. I can’t believe I’m actually getting married to Gavin Landry.”
“Believe it! You deserve it,” she said, wrapping me back in her arms.
“Nan, we are almost ready. Hey, Judy,” Chester said, coming up behind Nan, who released her hold on me.
“Hey,” I said with a smile.
“We have your table ready, by the way. You are at a VIP table,” Nan said, smiling at me.
She motioned for me to follow after her, so I did. Gavin and the others followed as well.
She brought us to a table with a gorgeous bouquet in the center. She left after we were seated at the table, and almost immediately, a young man approached and took our drink orders.
“Nan did such a good job,” Irene breathed. “It’s beautiful here.

It was nice going out to dinner with the 4 of us, gathering to support my best friend. It was almost like we were a real family.
Our drinks came shortly after. And after glancing at the menu for a moment, I knew what I wanted to order. We put in our food orders and fell into a comfortable silence as we people–watched. Nan was running circles around the place, making sure everything was going smoothly.
Chester was in and out of the kitchen, making sure everything was being cooked to perfection.
When we received our orders, it smelled like heaven. My mouth watered at the sight, which was incredible because lately, food has been doing nothing but making me want to vomit. But this might be the first meal I’ve eaten in weeks that didn’t make me throw up.
I would have felt bad if I threw up in the middle of her opening night.
The food tasted incredible, and I ate it as if I had been starved.
Overall, opening night for the Howling Spoon was a success, and Nan looked more than happy by the end of the night. She hugged everyone before they left, thanking them for their support. “Today was amazing,” I told her as I hugged her. “I’m so proud of you.”
“I can’t believe I managed to pull this off,” she said, tears glistenlag in her eyes. “I couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you so much.”
“You’re my best friend, Nan. I’ll always be here for you.”
“We should go through. It’s late and Matt has school in the morning,” Gavin said, putting a hand on the small of my back. Congratulation’s Nan. I’ll be in touch with some business opportunities for you and your restaurant. The meal was incredible, and I can see it catering to important events.”
She beamed.
“Thank you, Alpha,” she said in awe.
He nodded, and after one last hug, we left.
The next day, Gavin and I went to the hospital for my 4–month ultrasound. Today was the day that we could finally see the gender of the baby, and we were thrilled.
Eliza set up the machine and did some quick work to make sure both me and the baby remained healthy. After clearing our health, she looked relaxed in her chair as she moved the wand around my protruding belly.
“Are you ready to hear the gender of your baby?” She asked, looking between us.
“Yes,” we both said at the same time.
Gavin entwined his fingers through mine, giving them a gentle squeeze, though his eyes remained on the monitor.
After a moment longer, Eliza smiled even wider before looking up at us.
