I wanted to hold her tight, to silence her sharp tongue with a kiss that swallowed
last sound she made.

I shut my eyes and clenched my teeth, speaking with bitter resignation. “Don’t flatter yourself. How could an omega like you compare to a beta like Mariana? Just leave already.”
I forced myself to look disgusted.
