Chapter 178: The elevator doors opened on the first floor, and the family exited. Kristopher remained, still facing her in the same pose. Trailing behind him, Belinda observed the once captivating tall figure of the man before her, now with a trace of coldness in her expression. She began to piece together what Kristopher had implied back in the elevator. It was the family’s conversation about the baby that had touched him. He had thought of the child they had lost and had wanted to offer the consolations any caring husband would. If he were a caring husband, it would be reasonable to say those words. But he had never shown concern for this baby. Even on the day of the miscarriage, he was with Cathy. What right did he have to speak those words to her?
