Mateo sounded irritated. He yanked the blanket up and tried to muffle me with it.
I shoved it away and stubbornly asked again, “Do you know what kind of injury Alpha Henry has?”

“The Miguel family isn’t receiving visitors. No one gets to see your Alpha Henry except Mariana.

Thankfully, by the time they arrived, Alpha Henry had stabilized. But everyone in the Miguel family still looked grim.
Because this brush with death had cost him dearly–he had originally been expected to live another month.
“I’m sorry, sir, ma’am. The alpha… may have less than a week left,” said Xavier, the wolf medic, his face full of anguish.
