As long as the shareholders approved, that was enough..

“There’s another issue–investment,” Chloe said, lowering her voice.
She’d been around the company for years and had worked her way up to upper management. Her ears were sharp.
“Jaxon Group’s people have been coming here frequently to discuss potential partnerships.
“Ms. Randall met with them a few times–sometimes with other shareholders present.”
Alice never believed Ruby would actually team up with Jaxon Group.
But Jaxon’s persistence and financial bait? That could easily sway the others.
Still, she didn’t care much for any of that.
“Did the shareholders actually agree to the split?”
Chloe nodded. “That’s what I can’t wrap my head around. This move will make things so much harder for you and Mr. Eric.
“And Mr. Eric’s no fool. After all these years building the company, he won’t just let it be carved up like this.”
“They’re not worried it’ll destabilize everything and hurt their own interests ? ”
Alice pulled up her computer and started flipping through the shareholders‘ profiles.
Frankly speaking..
These shareholders had put in money and now expected yearly returns.

Chloe was at a loss for words.

That night, the head of Jaxon Group, James Richardson, made a post online.
Firstly, he announced he was staying at Global Hotel–penthouse suite, fifth floor.
Secondly, he expressed how honored he was by Nolan Group’s grand reception.
Thirdly, he looked forward to a successful partnership.
The moment it went live, the internet exploded.
“Wait, Nolan Group is working with Jaxon Group now?!”
“No way, I thought they were still evaluating
“If they weren’t working together, Jaxon Group wouldn’t post that. Nolan Group really knows how to keep quiet.”
“Jaxon Group is a big deal. Even during a global downturn, they’re growing. Nolan Group is smart to jump
in.”
“How come Nolan Group hasn’t made a statement yet?”
“Probably soon. This is all coordinated PR.”
“It’s been half an hour and there’s still no new post on Nolan Group’s official website.”

She rarely lost her temper.

Sure enough, there were no restrictions.
“Ms. Randall, you can post from this account.”
Her expression darkened further. It was like a storm brewing over a city.

Not long after, Ruby used her personal account to respond to Jaxon Group’s post .
But it was a vague, polite remark. She wrote, “If there’s an opportunity, we’d certainly look forward to
