Boston’s assistant chimed in, “That wasn’t respect–it was just manners. That assistant probably ran into her by coincidence.”
Boston added his two cents.
“People overseas are naturally polite. Even if they meet beggars, they’ll still smile.”
Honestly, he’d been pretty anxious earlier, worried that Alice might have ties to Risa.
He sounded more like he was trying to convince himself than anyone else.
Levi smiled. “If your sister does know Risa, wouldn’t that be a good thing for you?”
Boston scoffed. “Why are you so nosy? Don’t you have your matters to deal with?”
Levi shrugged. “We’re colleagues. I’m just looking out.”
Boston forced a smile. “Well, thanks then.”
Levi also smiled. “Not at all.”
Boston felt irritated and stormed off. As he walked away, Levi’s smile faded.
He clenched his hands unconsciously.
Kaleb, his manager, said, “Relax, Levi. I’ve got a feeling Risa’s leaning your way.”
Levi shook his head. “I didn’t misread it. That assistant clearly respected Mrs. Nolan. She knows Risa, no doubt.”
Kaleb frowned. “So, you mean …
“I cleared my day. Let’s wait and see how it plays out.”
Kaleb hesitated. “But what if you’re wrong?”
Levi slowly opened his fists.
“It’s fine if I lose some cash. But if I miss this shot, I’ll regret it forever.”
“Alright,” Kaleb said with a nod. “I’ll handle it.”
Once Alice got upstairs, Rísa came over right away.

They chatted for a bit, then Risa ran her fingers through her curls, adjusted her gold glasses, and cut to the
chase.
“I heard that Boston is your real brother?”
Boston usually went by ‘Brandon‘ in showbiz, so not many people knew his real identity.
But Risa had figured it out as soon as she got to Drakoria. Her intel was top–notch.
“You’re so good at this. I might as well retire,” Alice joked, popping a cherry into her mouth.
“Dream on.” Risa grabbed her tablet, pulling up audition videos.
She waited for Alice to finish snacking before handing it over.
“Come on, help me pick someone.”
Alice rubbed her temples. “It’s been so long since I directed. I probably forgot how to do this.”
“Don’t be lazy. Do it.”
Alice had no choice but to start watching.
There were dozens of candidates. By the time she got through all of them, it was already dark.
“Zachary Lambert is pretty good. He’s flexible.”
Risa nodded but asked, “What about your brother?”
Alice glanced at her scores. “He’s perfect for your fifth supporting role.”
It was a one–minute cameo as a rich, sleazy playboy.
Risa burst into laughter. “Are you trying to boost his career or end it?”
Alice shook her head. “If he nails it, that character twist could keep him relevant for a long time.”
Risa smirked. “So you do care about him.”
Alice stayed cool. “Work is work. If he can make me money, I wouldn’t turn him away. Still, we need a backup just in case.”
Risa caught the hint.
“You’ve done your part. If he doesn’t make it, that’s on him.”
After a pause, she asked, “What about Levi?”
Alice smiled. “He’s the backup. His style isn’t that far off from Boston’s.”
Risa grinned mischievously. “Man, that’s shady.”
Alice shrugged. “I’m just naturally talented.”

Risa cracked up. “Now I’m dying to see both of them on set.”

“You’re the director. Try acting like it,” Alice said, shaking her head. “With how nosy you are, how do you survive in this industry?”
Risa blinked innocently. “Your drama beats anything in our circle.”
Alice reminded her, “I’m starving. Didn’t you say you’d treat me to dinner?”
“You got married and didn’t tell me! Here’s your wedding gift. You should be the one buying me dinner!”
She tossed over a gift.
It was thick, with foreign banknotes stuffed inside.
On top, there was a contract. It was a share transfer agreement.
In total, the gift was worth 500 million.
“It’s just marriage. Isn’t this a bit too much?”
Alice looked through the paperwork, feeling amused.
Risa grinned. “I tried giving it to you before. You wouldn’t take it. Now I’ve got the perfect excuse.”
